MACEDON (ROMAN PROVINCE). Aesillas, quaestor, circa 95-70 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 16.11 g, 12 h), uncertain mint in Macedon. MA[KEΔONΩN] Head of Alexander the Great to right, with horn of Ammon over his ear; in field to left, Θ above pellet. Rev. AESILLAS / Q Money chest, club, and chair; to lower left and beneath chair, pellet; all within laurel wreath . AMNG III/1, 223. Bauslaugh 361-6. HGC 3.1, 1110. Nicely toned. Faint scratches and with minor areas of weakness, otherwise, nearly very fine.
